PR Junior account manager – Position description July 6, 2008

This is an ideal opportunity for a junior account manager with PR Agency experience who is looking to build on their account management skills, or a senior PR consultant looking to move back into the workforce. This is a great opportunity to do some really interesting work with direction from a senior PR executive.

Public relations and marketing work including managing client accounts, devise strategies that promote all elements of a client’s brief, media liaison, generate story ideas and opportunities for media coverage and writing.

You have solid experience in publicity and marketing, have excellent relationships with media, strong writing skills, be highly organised and motivated, and able to take initiative and meet strict deadlines. This role requires strong management abilities, excellent time management, a collaborative and creative outlook, self-responsibility, excellent communication skills and a high level of integrity.

Operating for 7 years, CP Communications provides PR & marketing services from our office is in North Sydney. Our culture is dynamic, creative and innovative and we work within a variety of industries including technology, recruitment, resources, marketing, consumer, health and media.

Responsibilities including:
Working with the Account Director (Catriona Pollard):
• Manage client accounts
• Devise strategies that promote all elements of a client’s brief
• Generate story ideas and opportunities for media coverage
• Follow up media enquiries and facilitating interviews
• Develop online PR campaigns
• Produce high quality promotional materials – press releases and kits, biographies etc
• Write copy – newsletters, brochures, advertising, websites etc
• Assist with business development opportunities
• Undertake ancillary duties related to PR/marketing initiatives such as following up on quotes, database updating, proofreading, media list development.

• Understanding of PR/marketing industry and must have PR agency experience
